V.Creative Solutions is the project that gives room to my creativity as a photographer, videomaker, content producer or whatever label shows up along the way. But no label covers what this really is. In practice, V.Creative Solutions is a tool to make room for the dream, for believing, for building one step at a time.
The phrase that sums it all up in Portuguese is “Permita-se”. The direct translation would be “allow yourself”, but it loses strength. “Allow yourself” sounds passive, almost like asking someone else for permission. “Permita-se” is given to yourself: it is a verb in the imperative, pointed inward.
And allowing yourself, for real, is not “just” being who you already are. It is allowing yourself to want more. To want to see yourself at your best. Not out of competition with anyone, but out of self-care. Not out of rivalry, but because a healthy collective is only built from individuals who recognise themselves whole. It is looking inward and outward in the same way. It is throwing yourself in, certain that the world will catch you.
Reading that paragraph back, I recognise the vocabulary sounds too philosophical. Even a little self-help coach, I know. I am leaving it anyway. Because that is what this is at the end of the day (philosophical, not coach, please haha). Yes, there is thought, study, theory and intention behind V.Creative Solutions. But all of it applied to real life, without much ceremony, without clinging to useless rules or preset standards from anywhere.
V.Creative Solutions is the place to simply be, natural and spontaneous.
As for the vocabulary, it is the only one that exists to describe what happens inside a portrait session. Changing the vocabulary would be changing the subject, so…
To make it tangible, no mysticism, no woo-woo: if you feel the pull, and there is a reason behind it, go and do it.
